Petra Börnerová Band was founded in 2005 for a Rhythm & Blues festival in Nyírbátor, in Eastern Hungary. Founding members include Czech vocalist Petra Börnerová and Slovak drummer Tomᚠ"Bobek" Bobrovniczký. The other musicians joining the band are from Hungary and are members of the band, „Benkő Zsolt & the Bluesrivers“ - Benkő Zsolt - guitar, Táncos István - saxophone and Bornemissza Ádám - bass. The band played several concerts in Hungary and Slovakia and they decided to move on  ... In Autumn 2005 they had their first  tour in Czech republic, Slovakia and Hungary. They also recorded a live CD, „Live at Stará Pekárna“ - which has received several positive reviews in both the Czech and Hungarian media.
Since 2005 the band performed more than 300 concerts  throughout Europe (HU, DE, AT, CH, SR, CZ, HUN, YU, PL, CH) and has also appeared at some of the bigger blues festivals, such as, Blues Alive (Šumperk - CR), Gastroblues (Paks - HU), Living Blues (Bratislava - SR), Piazza blues (Bellinzona - CH), Blues im Orth (Orth - At), etc. In 2006 they also began to cooperate with the most respected Hungarian pianist and composer Szilveszter Kosz, who was born in Romania. In 2007 the band worked with the Czech bassist Pavel Novák and saxophonist Kuba Doležal.
The band's repertoire includes blues songs from the fifties, as well as modern contemporary compositions. Blues itself was as Soul and Jazz elements, combined with blues from the fifties to form a musical hybrid of styles. Emotional, heart-felt, along with the sweet grace of young Czech vocalist Petra Börnerová, the band creates a pleasant atmosphere, which  heightens the band´s performance.

In 2008 the band started cooperate with the great Slovak guitarist Miloš Železňák and Slovak bassist Peter Oberländer.  Along with the new musicians the band created a new sound and are playing their own compositions. In December 2008 the band went into the studio and recorded a new CD. Petra has now returned from short maternity leave and the band continues to play concerts and make tours around Europe and is preparing the material for their next CD.
